The Henry Allen Trust
Henry Allen was just two when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that affects nerve tissue.
Despite treatment Henry’s condition deteriorated. Henry wanted to come home and his family spent their last days together making memories and talking about Henrys wishes. This included helping other children and families affected by childhood cancer.
The Henry Allen Trust will be about Henry’s family bringing happiness to your family. This will be achieved in a number of ways including:
- Providing Treats and Wishes to Create Special Memories for families affected by Childhood Cancer
- Providing Support and Advice for Families Battling Childhood Cancer
- Improving Processes for Oncology Services Within Hospitals
The Henry Allen Trust has been set up by Dawn and Mark, Henry’s parents, to ‘create smiles and memories’ for local children aged 0-18 and their families.
“We will create awareness of childhood cancers and assist families upon diagnosis.”
Treats & Wishes
“In a young hero’s name a legacy rises, to bring smiles to the precious through treats and surprises.”
“Spreading joy in a place where harsh words are spoken and allowing the young to be free for a moment.”
For many families one of the hardest things is keeping a sense of normality for the family. The Henry Allen Trust Treats and Wishes program provides a much needed reprieve from the seemingly endless hospital visits – allowing children to be children once again and giving families an opportunity to create some treasured memories.
We respect the privacy of the families we support and the families featured below have asked us to share their story so you can see how important the treats and wishes program truly is to the families we help.
