Holiday Ideas UK and Overseas #Reviews
Our Mums are asking for UK and Overseas holiday recommendations.
A very cool #Travel Blog I am checking out is:
Go and Get Active with Hoseasons:
“Is fabulous & you can hire a golf buggy for your stay to get around the park”
“Bluestone Wales really does offer something for everyone whether you’re looking for a relaxing, quiet break or a busy, active and fun-packed trip. It’s open all year round and there’s something to do in any weather from cycling and zipwires to manicures and meals out”.
Kerry recommends multi award-winning ‘farm holiday cottages’ in Devon.
“It is a farm in Devon which is perfect for families. We have been several times and keep going back. Family run place and the owners are lovely. They literally think of everything you might need to make your stay as comfortable as possible with little ones”.
Osea Leisure Park Wins Best Campsite/Caravan Park for 2014
“We went to Parkdean Warmwell near Weymouth in November with a 5 and 1 year old, it was brilliant!!! So much to do, great value for money. But do pay out to stay in an Osmington or better, it’s worth it!”
Camping recommendation – Clippesby Hall campsite
“A BeWILDering NEW Attraction at Clippesby Holidays. An exciting new addition for the children’s play area.
Adventure play area, including zip wires, cargo net, monkey bars, fireman’s pole and climbing wall.
Designed and built by the Bewilderwood team.
The tree house is tucked away in the woods and is the ideal spot for a mini-picnic, while on the main play area there is a football pitch, climbing frame, swings and a sandpit, with plenty of space for impromptu games of cricket or rounders.”
“Tattershall lakes is lovely. log cabins, safri glamping . indoor pool, hot tub, activities for kids, forest location. half the price centre parcs. highly recommend. also have cheaper option of caravan or camping if can’t afford log cabin.“
“Sandy Balls Holiday Village – the perfect destination for family holidays in the New Forest“
Haven – Norfolk
“We are going back to haven caister this year third year in a row I have a 3.5 year old and 18 months . We upgrade though to a heated caravan.”
“Here at Vauxhall Holiday Park, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk we have everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in a safe and friendly environment.“
Hoburne Holiday Parks
I have stayed Hoburne Cotswold and it was fantastic!
Holiday Cottages in UK
“Bosinver Farm Cottages offer luxury self-catering holidays in Cornwall for kids aged 0-90”
“You can feed the animals every morning, have pony rides, there is a pool, play barn with sand, park, soft play area all on site near the cottages. Close to lovely beaches and lots of other things to do”.
Isle of Wight
“Nettlecombe Farm is nestled in the heart of the rolling Isle of Wight countryside.
It is a working farm that offers luxurious self-catering holiday accommodation, coarse fishing, yoga retreats and function barn hire”.
“Under the Thatch provides amazing holiday homes across Europe – simply gorgeous places to stay that stand out from the crowd. We rent out fabulous, quirky places to stay and put profits into our own historic building rescue projects across the continent. We’re currently working in Malopolska (Poland), Andalucia (Spain), Ceredigion (Wales) and Donegal (Ireland), but our next project could be anywhere in the world that we find an amazing building in a wonderful location.
Netmums has lot’s of Holiday ideas
We have stayed here several times as it is just fantastic. not far when you cross over into France and 1 hour from Paris and Eurodisney.
“We go to France, stay in a caravan in holiday park. We love it because there are outside swimming pools/slides & little ones for the toddlers. You don’t have to keep them still on an aeroplane as you drive, there is evening entertainment to keep you & them dancing or just chilling & if you don’t want that you just chill out with a glass of wine on your decking once the little one is tucked up in bed. Win win really. We book through http://www.Siblu.com
We visited friends staying at this Fab apartment – Casa Gecko, Vera near Almeria
Located in Las Buganvillas, Vera Playa. Casa Gecko is a newly renovated property, decorated tastefully with plenty of space and privacy, making it a perfect holiday stay for both families and couples.
July & August – €450 1 week – €825 2 weeks (Guide Price and cheaper off peak)
Costa Del Sol:
Mum to Mum member – “The Polynesia in benalmadena is great. We’ve been twice. Once when my son was 20 months and took my daughter when she was 15 months, last May”
I recently visited Salou and really liked it. Cap Salou is beautiful and there are lots of ‘family friendly hotels’ there.
Portaventura Theme Park is Awesome if you love rollercoasters and it is great for the smaller ones too with Sesame Street land.
We stayed at a great ‘Apart hotel’ for a couple of nights which we found on expedia.
Our best holidays have been with Sovereign Holidays, they are a luxury brand but the YAIZA SUITE HOTEL RESORT is great. If you can afford a treat, the ‘Kiko Suite’ is great family accommodation. Great offers for 2015 can be found on the link below.
Several Mum to Mum members recommended Puerto- Pollensa
We also stayed at the HILTON VILAMOURA AS CASCATAS GOLF RESORT & SPA, VILAMOURA. This Hotel also has apartments available.
Another Mum to Mum member recommends – ClubHotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie.
“Cocooned in lush gardens, the ClubHotel Riu Tikida Palmeraie is a quiet retreat just 15 minutes’ drive from Marrakech’s medina.”
Review: “We went here and it was lovely. the staff in the club, Marco and Tema are brilliant and its the first children’s club our daughter has ever been happy to be left.”
Tunisia – Holiday Village Manar
“Everything you need is here. Lovely aquapark on site, beach access, entertainment and all inclusive.”
The Holiday villages overall have great reviews so here is the general link:
