On the 2nd of December 2015 one of our Mum to Mum MK members posted…
“Does anyone know any carol singers in Milton Keynes? I am trying to arrange some carol singers to come and sing at our door on the week before Christmas. My four year old son only has a few days at home before returning to hospital for more Chemotherapy, I really want to make it as special as possible for him and my daughter.”
Within minutes, at midnight her wish was granted and ‘Singing for Tommy’ was created.
The Henry Allen Trust – Henry’s Happiness and Team Henry jumped at the chance to help this little boy and his family this Christmas.
This post has made me feel very humble for starting this group, and for all our lovely members that have offered to help this lovely lady and her son. This year my child is asking for an electric skateboard, amongst many other things… Little Tommy is fighting cancer and would love some carol singers to brighten his day.
This is what Christmas should be about, helping others, spreading love and little acts of kindness.
One of our members who was present at ‘Carols for Tommy’ shared her thoughts on this special moment in time…
“So pleased to be a part of this very special (and emotional) experience. To see little Tommy’s face was a privilege. Thanks so much to all of you for organising it so well and specially to the lovely lady who did those fab lanterns. My boys were chuffed to bits with them and every time we put them on we will think of Tommy, and wish him get well wishes. Merry Christmas to you all xxx”

We have raised £2,940 so far with #PayItForward and instead of christmas cards this year I am going to donate another £40. If you would like to donate to this fab team this christmas…
Love one another this Christmas & think of those going through a hard time or have lost their loved ones xxx
In 2016 maybe we can do this…
