So my little brother got married this month and we all headed to Milton Keynes in the #summerholidays
Very strange flying into the UK for our summer holiday and Yes it is much more expensive to fly into the UK in the ‘Summer Holidays’ too!
Luckily booking our flight with @EasyJet, months in advance saved us a few pennies!
As we started looking into hotels though this was a bit more tricky with a family of 2 adults & 2 Children. At ‘Horizon Serviced Apartments’ they offered us a 2 bed apartment right in the heart of ‘The Hub’ Milton Keynes and it was fantastic! Much better than the 2 hotel rooms option.
After a great shopping trip to Milton Keynes shopping Centre – The Centre MK we headed to the new Odeon Cinema at MK1.
The boys loved the new Cinema, it’s ‘Pic n Mix’ and of course the Minion Movie!
#Shopping and the #Cinema are 2 of the things we miss most, post relocation to Spain. Yes we gained sunshine, outdoor life, the beach, a swimming pool and more…But:
You cannot beat the UK for it’s shopping & entertainment. The boys loved being back in MK too.
The next ‘Day Out’ on the boys wish list was ‘Mead Open Farm’
#Animals #OutdoorPlay #IndorPlay on the big slides, cute piglets and Fun!
Bowling at the Xscape followed to catch up with old school friends @ Hollywood Bowl
Then Saturday was all about me, to glam me up for my brothers wedding!
First the hair and luckily @headonisthair at the Hub managed to fit me in for ‘Hair Up’ “Unisex hair & beauty salon, a place to rejuvenate & relax in the Hub, Milton Keynes.”
Then a lovely lady on the Guerlain counter in House of Fraser in The Centre MK treated me to a free makeover!
Debra was really helpful and so friendly! Excellent service and i am a new fan of their beautiful products. #Personal Recommendation. Thanks again Debra
All Glammed up we headed to my brothers wedding. First stop the church and then onto the beautiful Creslow Manor.
“Creslow is a unique and beautiful parish nestled in the heart of rural Buckinghamshire. The estate is steeped in history and was once used as a grazing ground for the Royal Table. The Manor house dates back to the 13th Century and is the oldest continually inhabited house in Buckinghamshire.
The grounds of the Manor offer a stunning location for marquee events including weddings, barbecues, birthdays, garden parties and corporate days. The garden is enclosed with medieval walls which add to the privacy and beauty of the Manor. The ‘Old Tennis Court’ offers an ideal location for a marquee, whilst the sweeping lawns in front of the manor offer a number of perfect focal points for your photographs. Creslow Manor is a charming and exclusive venue for all your event needs.”
Congratulations to my brother and his new wife, loved catching up with all our family. Wonderful Wedding & Venue! #Beautiful
Wedding feature for Herts/Beds & Bucks to follow soon…
5 days, filled to the brim with fun and then it was time to head back to Spain.
If you have not been to Milton Keynes you are missing out! 45 minutes from London Town (by train), 35 mins drive from Luton airport and lastly becoming one of the best destinations in the UK for a weekend away.

Till September MK ;o)
