‘The Kaylah Simms Foundation’ ~ Supporting Asthma Awareness
As an Asthma sufferer who received a very late diagnosis (18 years old) I admire how Emma is developing this charity and raising awareness in memory of her daughter.
As a charity we aim to sell merchandise eg. key-rings, trolley coins, pens, badges etc to raise awareness of asthma as I believe there is not enough awareness on the dangers of asthma and in time supply nebulisers to families who have trouble getting them of the NHS!
We are currently in the process of raising funds to claim our registered charity number and also so we can start buying our items for our charity to spread awareness.
Anyone wishing to do fundraising events for us:
We would be very grateful!
“Hello, My Name is Emma.
After the sudden death of my only child, my precious 9 year old daughter Kaylah Jasmine Simms, I wanted to set up a charity as a legacy to her.
My daughter was born on Tuesday 21st of October 2003 and passed away suddenly due to a severe sudden asthma attack in my arms on Sunday 11th November 2012. Only 3 weeks after her 9th Birthday…
As a charity we aim to sell merchandise eg. key-rings, trolley coins, pens, badges etc to raise awareness of asthma as I believe there is not enough awareness on the dangers of asthma!
This will be funded by charity events.
In time we also aim to supply families with nebulisers who have trouble getting them of the NHS.
The current statistics in the UK is that 3 people die a day from asthma. And someone is admitted into hospital every 7 minutes due to asthma.”
Please help us spread awareness!
If you can help Emma in any way at all Please get in touch with the foundation.
Good Luck Emma
